Time Management

Time Management

Not everything a priority!  Tasks compete for your attention; effectively identifying your priorities will move you focusing on the essentials.

Seven ideas to increase your success in focusing on priorities include:

  1. Every task/assignment needs a specific deadline.
  2. Identify the start time to meet your deadline and then add a buffer.
  3. Add a longer buffer for critical and/or time-sensitive tasks.
  4. If a really has no specific deadline move out of sight. (these C priorities and may never get completed)
  5. Only tasks that have to be completed today are your “A” priorities”.
  6. Organize the tasks that need to be started on another day in order of when they need to be started.
  7. Finish all your “A’s” before you consider starting a “B”.
