  2. Outline why the change is necessary.
  3. Highlight the benefits of the change to the individual(s).
  4. Discuss how the change will impact those involved.
  5. Share the considerations you’ve made before the decision to change.
  6. Ask for their concerns.
  7. Ask for their questions.
  8. Request their support by asking “Can I count on you to make this change?”
